Terms and Conditions

GoTej, a partnership ("we," "us," or "our") operates the GoTej (customer app) and GoTej Rider (agent app) mobile applications (collectively, the "Apps"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Apps and our services, which connect customers needing to send parcels with verified traveler agents for hyperlocal, intercity, interstate, and international deliveries using stations and airports as handoff points.

By downloading, installing, or using the Apps, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Apps.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Apps. By using the Apps, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. User Accounts

Customer Accounts (GoTej App):

  • Registration requires phone number and OTP verification.
  • You must provide accurate profile information (name, address).

Agent Accounts (GoTej Rider App):

  • Registration requires Google Sign-In and Aadhaar verification with admin approval.
  • Agents must maintain active profiles and comply with verification requirements.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and agree not to share login credentials.

3. Services Description

For Customers:

  • Create delivery tasks by entering pickup/drop locations, package details (max 10kg train/5kg flight), and delivery type.
  • Pay 25% booking amount upfront via integrated payment gateway.
  • Track deliveries in real-time with photo proofs and OTP confirmation.

For Agents:

  • View and accept available tasks matching your travel routes.
  • Verify travel documents (PNR for trains) before pickup.
  • Complete deliveries with mandatory photo uploads at pickup and drop-off.

We act solely as an intermediary platform connecting customers and agents. We do not own, transport, or guarantee delivery of packages.

4. User Obligations

Customers:

  • Provide accurate pickup/drop details and package information.
  • Ensure packages comply with weight limits and do not contain prohibited items (hazardous materials, illegal goods, perishables requiring refrigeration).
  • Drop off/pick up at designated stations/airports as required.
  • Pay all applicable fees promptly.

Agents:

  • Verify travel documents before accepting intercity tasks.
  • Upload clear photos of packages at pickup and delivery.
  • Deliver packages securely and obtain receiver OTP.
  • Maintain valid identity documents and comply with admin instructions.

You agree not to use the Apps for illegal activities, spam, or harassment.

5. Payments and Fees

  • Customers pay via Razorpay integration (UPI, cards, wallets).
  • 25% booking amount is compulsory and non-refundable once an agent accepts the task.
  • Full payment due upon task confirmation; agents receive payout after delivery.
  • We charge 15% commission on transactions.
  • All fees exclude taxes; applicable GST will be added.
  • No refunds if no agent accepts the task.

6. Cancellation Policy

  • Customers may cancel before agent acceptance with full refund of booking amount.
  • No refunds after agent acceptance.
  • Agents may cancel only with valid reason and admin approval; repeated cancellations may lead to suspension.

7. Delivery and Liability Limitations

  • Delivery times are estimates only; delays may occur due to traffic, train/flight schedules, or agent availability.
  • You acknowledge packages are carried by independent agents during their personal travel.
  • We are not liable for package loss, damage, or delays caused by agents, weather, customs, or third parties.
  • Maximum liability limited to booking amount paid.
  • Customers must insure valuable items separately.
  • Prohibited Items: Weapons, drugs, liquids, fragile valuables, live animals, or any items violating law.

8. Intellectual Property

All content in the Apps (logos, designs, maps) is owned by GoTej or licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute without permission.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, fraud, or at our discretion. Upon termination, you lose access to services.

10. Disclaimers

THE APPS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES. WE DISCLAIM LIABILITY FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in courts of India.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms with notice via the Apps. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
